Karma Law’s Director, Lior Harel has over 15 years experience as a lawyer and senior commercial executive, and has built and managed legal, risk, governance and compliance functions in ASX-listed online, SaaS and healthcare companies.

Lior graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003 with an Arts/Law Degree.

He commenced his legal career at Arnold Bloch Leibler, where he worked for 7 years specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions, and Property Finance.

In 2011 Lior moved ‘in-house’ and accepted a role as General Counsel & Chief Operating Officer at Luxury Escapes, one of Australia’s leading e-commerce groups operating several websites including Luxury Escapes, Living Social, and DEALS.com.au.

From 2012 to 2018, Lior held the role of Chief Legal Counsel at SEEK.com.au, a global market leader in online employment marketplaces that span ten countries across Asia Pacific and Latin America.

From 2018 to 2020, he was the General Counsel & Company Secretary of Vitura Health Limited, an ASX-listed company working to unify all aspects of the medicinal cannabis industry.

From 2020 to 2023, Lior was the Commercial Director (Australia), General Counsel & Company Secretary of Optima Technology Group Limited, an ASX-listed SaaS company in the Net Zero space.

Lior is a Graduate of the AICD Company Directors’ Course and sits on the Board of Directors of private and Not-for-Profit companies.

On weekends Lior can be found with his wife, two young sons and his beloved black pug – kicking the footy or cheering on the Melbourne Demons.

He is a dedicated yoga and meditation practitioner, and it is these interests that inspired the Karma Law brand.
